Ever-cheerful Ananya Panday is in full sibling mode this week. With her younger brother Ahaan Panday stepping into the spotlight with his debut film ‘Saiyaara’, Ananya took a sentimental detour on social media, sharing a bunch of childhood memories.
In a post, Ananya shared a series of adorable throwback photos and videos featuring her and Ahaan growing up together.
“Been obsessed with my brother since day 1 and I can’t wait for the world to feel the same,” Ananya wrote, adding, “#Saiyaara in cinemas tomorrow! @ahaanpandayy can’t believe my little beans first movie comes out. Welcome to the movies, Ahaaani! The sweetest boy.”
Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Saiyaara’ marks an exciting shift for the filmmaker known for crafting emotionally charged love stories. Suri, who has previously delivered hits like ‘Zeher’, ‘Kalyug’, ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Awarapan’, and ‘Aashiqui 2’, all under Vishesh Films, is now collaborating with Yash Raj Films for this project.
Speaking about the film, Suri described ‘Saiyaara’ as a personal tribute to the love stories that shaped him as a storyteller.
“I’ve always felt that romance is the genre that lets you explore every human emotion; joy, heartbreak, nostalgia, connection. ‘Saiyaara’ is my homage to the sweeping love stories I’ve admired all my life,” Suri said in an earlier interview.

“I’m genuinely touched by the love the teaser has received,” Suri added. “Ahaan and Aneet have poured their hearts into this. They’ve made it easy for audiences to connect deeply with just a glimpse of the story. I’m grateful to the YRF team and excited for everyone to see what’s next as we unfold the layers of this love saga.”
‘Saiyaara’ hits theatres nationwide on July 18, 2025.
