Imagine moving into your dream home and finding out strangers have filmed it without permission. That’s exactly what happened to Alia Bhatt at her home, and she is not keeping quiet about it.

The actress recently took to Instagram to express her shock and frustration after a video of her under-construction home in Mumbai circulated online. The clip, reportedly recorded from outside, ended up being shared by multiple media outlets without her consent.

In a strong note, Alia explained why this act was not just disrespectful but also dangerous. She wrote that while Mumbai is a crowded city where space is often limited, no one has the right to film another person’s private residence.

Calling it a “clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue,” the actress asked people to think about how they would feel if their personal space was shared publicly without their knowledge.

Alia added that such behavior should never be normalized. “Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not content – it’s a violation,” she stressed.

She also made a firm appeal to her fans, urging them not to forward or share such videos if they come across them online.

Alia directly addressed media publications that carried the video, requesting them to take it down immediately.

This isn’t the first time Alia and her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, have faced such intrusions. Over the past few years, the couple has often been spotted visiting their new Pali Hill bungalow. They are sometimes with their daughter Raha or Ranbir’s mother, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor.
