Birthdays usually mean cakes, candles, and family dinners. But when it’s Akshay Kumar, special day, it turns into a celebration for millions.
On September 9, the Bollywood superstar, fondly known as “Khiladi Kumar,” turned 58. And instead of making it all about himself, he chose to dedicate the day to those who stood by him during his remarkable journey in cinema.
Akshay Kumar has spent more than three decades in the film industry and has given fans over 150 movies, from action thrillers, comedies, patriotic dramas, and social films.
To mark his birthday, he took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt note, along with a striking picture that highlighted the many characters he has played on screen.
“Good morning, everyone! 58 years in the making, 34 years in this industry, over 150 films & counting,” his caption began. What followed was not just a message but an emotional ‘thank you’ to the people who helped shape his career. “To everyone that ever believed in me, who bought a ticket, who signed me, produced me, directed me and guided me, this is your journey as much as mine. I am nothing without you,” he wrote.
The actor even dedicated his birthday to his fans, calling their love and encouragement the real reason behind his success. He ended his note with “Love & Prayers, Your Akshay.. Jai Mahakal.”
The creative artwork in his post was made by Rahul Nanda, and Akshay was quick to acknowledge him as well. “Many thanks to the very talented Rahul Nanda for capturing my life’s work for my favourite people on the planet. My fans,” he added.

In the following years, he balanced his career with a mix of thrillers like ‘Mohra’ (1994), emotional dramas like ‘Jaanwar’ (1999), comedies like ‘Hera Pheri’, and patriotic hits such as ‘Kesari’.
Recognising his contribution to cinema, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri.
Looking ahead, Akshay is all set to return to court in ‘Jolly LLB 3’. The teaser of the much-awaited film was released on August 12. It gave fans a taste of the entertaining face-off between him and Arshad Warsi. The film, also starring Saurabh Shukla as Judge Tripathi, is scheduled to release on September 19, 2025.
