Akshay Kumar to make his Telugu debut with Vishnu Manchu’s ‘Kannappa’
Doosukeltha' (2013) actor Manchu took to his official X page to share the news of Kumar joining 'Kannappa'.
Akshay Kumar fans have all the reasons to be excited as the actor is gearing up for his next release, Gold. After his last film Pad Man created a rage, Akshay is back with his new film that marks the debut of TV actor Mouni Roy. The film is slated to release this Independence Day on August 15, 2018.
In the new poster unveiled today (June 13) by actor and co-producer Farhan Akhtar, Akshay Kumar is seen sporting an intense look as he holds the tricolour close to his heart with pride shining in his eyes.
Farhan captioned the poster as, “All victories begin with a dream. It fills me with immense joy to present to you the official poster of #Gold, a film that is very close to my heart. Releasing 15th August.”

Gold is based on the life of hockey player Balbir Singh Sr., who was on the team that won the first Olympic Medal for India as a free nation in 1948.
While Akshay will be essaying the lead role of Singh and Mouni his love interest, actors Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Vineet Singh will be seen in pivotal roles.
