Ahead of Bihar elections, Sonu Sood drops surprise; his next movie is all about Bihar!

Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has once again shown his love for Bihar. During a recent interaction with ANI, the actor shared that he is working on a film inspired by the state.

Speaking warmly about Bihar, Sonu said, “Apni mitti se ek alag hi lagaav hai… vapas aaya hu aur aata hi rahunga.”

Translating his thoughts, he explained, “There’s a special attachment to my soil. I’ve come back, and I’ll keep coming back.”

Revealing details about his upcoming project, the actor confirmed that his next film will be set in Bihar. “An event is going to happen soon, and we are about to start the shoot. Patna is my own land, and my next film is based on Bihar,” Sonu said.

Interestingly, his announcement comes just weeks ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections, scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14. The elections are set to be a high-stakes contest between the NDA and the INDIA bloc led by Tejashwi Yadav.

Other parties such as the Congress, CPI (ML), CPI, CPM, and Mukesh Sahani’s VIP are also in the fray, along with political strategist Prashant Kishor, who is making his debut with Jan Suraaj.

When asked about the political atmosphere in the state, Sonu Sood avoided taking sides but expressed hope for Bihar’s progress. “Whoever wins, I just wish they make Bihar a better place,” he said.

On the professional front, Sonu continues to balance his film career and social work. Known for his roles in hit films like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ and ‘Simmba’, he recently made his directorial debut with the action thriller ‘Fateh’, which also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
