Aamir Khan is ready to marry Gauri Spratt on July 5, 2026. The actor confirmed the date himself. In a recent interview, made it clear the event will be nothing like the weddings Bollywood is usually associated with.
There will be no grand celebration. Aamir has said it will be a registered marriage held at home. Only family members and a small group of close friends will attend.
He was straightforward about this. “It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic,” he said.
No details about the guest list have been shared publicly. Whether Aamir’s well-known friends from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, will be present is still unknown.
Why now?
In a separate interview with Variety India, Aamir spoke about why he and Gauri decided to marry at this point in their relationship.
“Yes, that is true. But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level,” he said.
He described the decision as a natural step forward. The couple had already been together for some time before going public. Aamir introduced Gauri earlier this year and spoke openly about their relationship. The news drew significant attention from fans and the press.
Who is Gauri Spratt?
Gauri Spratt lives in Bengaluru. She works in the wellness and beauty sector.
Her lineage carries some historical weight. She is the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British writer and intellectual who came to India in the 1920s and eventually settled here. Philip Spratt was known for his political and philosophical writing.
Gauri has a son named Quinn from a previous marriage.
Aamir’s marriages: A brief history
This will be Aamir Khan’s third marriage.
His first marriage was to Reena Dutta. The two have a son, Junaid Khan, and a daughter, Ira Khan. They separated but have maintained a civil relationship since.
He then married filmmaker Kiran Rao. In 2021, Aamir and Kiran announced their separation after 16 years together. The two continue to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan. They also still work together professionally on occasion. Their collaboration on Laapataa Ladies, which Kiran directed, is a recent example of how they have managed to maintain both a personal and professional bond after parting ways.
