‘120 Bahadur’, one of the much-awaited war dramas, has finally arrived in cinemas and audiences on X (formerly Twitter) are already sharing their reviews. The film brings to life the heroic story of 120 Indian soldiers who stood fearless at Rezang La during the 1962 India-China war.
‘120 Bahadur’ plot
The film draws inspiration from true events focusing on the valiant soldiers of the Ahir regiment who defended the Rezang La pass in Ladakh against overwhelming Chinese forces.
As per IMDb, the story “follows valiant Indian soldiers fighting against Chinese troops during the 1962 Sino-Indian War preventing a potential occupation of the Ladakh region in the Battle of Rezang La.”
Farhan Akhtar steps into the shoes of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, commander who leads his men through freezing temperatures, treacherous terrain, relentless attacks.
‘120 Bahadur’ cast
120 Bahadur boasts a strong ensemble cast. Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Raashii Khanna is the soldier’s wife. Supporting cast includes Ankit Siwach, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Sahib Verma, Ajinkya Deo, Brijesh Karanwal, Devendra Ahirwar, Digvijay Pratap, and Amitabh Bachchan as the narrator.
Farhan Akhtar, in particular, has captured the imagination of audiences. One Twitter user wrote, “Farhan entry with ‘Hawa ka rukh tumhare saath hai’ lands like a commander’s prophecy. The interval moment ‘Hum peeche nahi hatenge’ hits with the force of a national roar. The final 30 minutes… leave the theatre silent, shaken, and proud. Pure fire. Pure courage. And pure India. Take a bow Farhan & Team 120 Bahadur.”
Vivan Bhatena’s portrayal of Surja Ram has also drawn praise. Fans noted, “#VivanBhathena’s performance has that rare blend of grit and grace. Surja Ram feels rooted, human, and deeply compelling. 120 Bahadur benefits enormously from his presence.”

Just watched #FarhanAkhtar’s #120Bahadur and I’m quietly shaken. He doesn’t just act the role… he breathes it. Every moment feels lived, honest, deeply felt. One of his most moving performances, can’t wait for you all to feel it too. ✨ pic.x.com/73Pkj9rUSZ

Just walked out of #120Bahadur shaking. 118 jawans, -30°C, no air support, yet they fought till the last bullet & breath. This film doesn’t glorify war; it glorifies sacrifice. Loudest silence I’ve ever heard in a theater when the credits rolled. Must watch. #RezangLa pic.x.com/Sx5tkuIR3V

#120Bahadur (3/5)
A good film which is respectfully made, but doesn’t quite become a knockout due to routine tropes & formulaic treatment. The war sequences are outstanding coupled with brilliant cinematography. Good performances & focused storytelling make it a decent watch. pic.x.com/BZLMV2v0zt— Kshamik (@Kshamik4) November 18, 2025
Reviewers highlight how the film doesn’t just aim for entertainment but it honors the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers.
