Two of the legendary actors from the Bengali cinema, Aparna Sen and Soumitra Chatterjee, will be back on screen together after 18 years. Sen and Chatterjee were last seen together on Paromitar Ek Din. They have worked together in amazing films, including Jiban Saikate, Basanta Bilap, Teen Bhubaner Pare, Baksha Badal and many more.

Now, the duo will be seen in a family drama directed by Anumita Dasgupta titled Alo Adhar. Excited about her first film, the director expressed her views to TOI and said, “I am so lucky to have such a huge star cast despite this being a small budget film. I decided to work with Soumitra babu and Rinaldi as soon as I completed the story of the film. They have an awesome chemistry on screen and it was my dream to cast them together. They will be a perfect fit my story.”

The story deals with a long lost couple Salim Khan and Madhuri Chattopadhyay who have ripped apart due to religious differences. Now, they have met years later and are widowed. Let’s see how the story turns out at the end.
