Yogi Adityanath addresses ‘Start-up Master Class’ at IIT-Kanpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the ‘Start-up Master Class’ at the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur on Saturday, 27 January.

Addressing the gathering of students, professors and entrepreneurs, the CM said that Master Class will help them present their ideas before investors.

“Ideas that click with the investors will be worked upon,” Adityanath reportedly said. He added that expert guidance will also be provided to ensure that the ideas are concrete and viable.

“The programme will encourage youth to present their innovative ideas,” the CM had said earlier at the closing ceremony of Uttar Pradesh Diwas.

Calling the youth to help develop the state, Adityanath had said that his government will dedicate the next financial year to the youth of Uttar Pradesh.

The programme was conducted by IIT-Kanpur alumni association along with Entrepreneur Cell and SIDBI Innovation and Incubation Centre.

According to reports, SIDBI will be giving a grant of Rs 100 crore to the best start-up idea.

Students presented start-up ideas that would help improve India’s environment, ensure rural development and propel the drive for cleaner cities.

Some top names from the world of business were in attendance.

Adityanath will also be attending a programme at HBTU campus in the city. He will be proceeding to Lucknow after the conclusion of the programme.
