Yashwant Sinha, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, accompanied by Sushobha Barve, Executive Director, Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation (CDR); Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Kapil Kak and Bharat Bhushan, senior journalist, met Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar on Friday and discussed various issues confronting Jammu and Kashmir.

This is the third visit of the team that is holding talks with cross section of Kashmiri leadership and separatists to resolve the problem in Kashmir.

Sinha shared his experiences with the Governor who stressed the importance of the regional parties in J&K and all the stakeholders, particularly the civil society, playing a lead role for securing restoration of peace and normalcy.

The Sinha team on Thursday met the MP and National Conference leader, Farooq Abdullah, and discussed various issues with him.

The separatists had earlier refused to meet an All Parties Parliamentary delegation that visited Kashmir earlier this year. However, they have met the Sinha led team and also the one led by Congress leader Manishankar Aiyar.
