Working women provided interest-free loans in North West Delhi’s Burari

In a bid to strengthen their livelihood and businesses, a total of 201 working women on Saturday were extended interest free loans in presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said, “Women’s welfare is at the top of our agenda. We are working to ensure the economic upliftment of working women through various schemes on the ground.”

She lauded ‘Chaupal’ for its efforts to provide interest-free loans to women, enabling them to expand their businesses and secure their livelihoods.

CM also highlighted that social organisations serve as the backbone of society, playing a vital role in improving lives while making invaluable contributions to nation-building.

Reaffirming Delhi government’s commitment to uplifting working women, CM, asserted that the government is very serious when it comes to interest of women.

The event held at Burari witnessed a grand reception for Gupta, with the stretch from Burari by-pass to Swaroop Nagar adorned with decorations, while locals welcomed CM with enthusiasm.

She has urged everyone to work together towards women empowerment, equality and self-reliance and to build a strong future.

Several dignitaries also attended the event, including MP Manoj Tiwari, MLAs Ajay Mahawar and Rajkumar Bhatia and MCD Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh.

Prominent social workers and community leaders such as Dayanand, who is the Provincial Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and others were also present on the occasion.
