Police released video footage as well as pictures of a woman who had allegedly stolen a 4-month-old male infant from her mother on Thursday from Ananda Bazar, near to Balasore rail station.

The missing baby belongs Aju Dalei, (38) and his wife Gouri Dalei, (30) of village Padampur under Chandipur police station limits. The unidentified woman aged about 40 year wearing a maroon colour saree captured in CC TV cameras installed near Balasore railway station was seen with the baby soon after the incident at 4.45 p.m. on Thursday.

Gouri along with her 11 other SHG members had came to Balasore town from her village to a bank for some work. The group members including Gouri were at a roadside tea shop when the suspect lady approached Gouri and offered to hold the infant so that she could have tea comfortably.
