On Sunday, MP Bhola Singh, BJP district president Himanshu Mittal, former district youth wing president Lakshminath and their supporters had broken five out of the seven walls in the DM Colony in Bulandshahar. These walls were constructed at different points over the years badly affecting the movement of local residents. This had enraged the people who have been maintaining pressure on the BJP rank and files in Bulandshahr for action.

The police have however taken.a serious note of the matter saying it could affect the security in the colony where a majority of officers are residing. District Magistrate Anuj Kumar Jha has directed ADM (Administration) Arvind Kumar Mishra to investigate the matter under the purview of law. Orders to reconstruct the walls have also been given.

In his statement, Himanshu Mittal claimed that local residents were facing great problems due to these walls as their movement was restricted and they had to take a long route to reach their destinations around there which was otherwise much shorter.

They had been demanding removal of these walls for a long time, said Mittal, adding that they appealed to officials many times to remove these walls but their demand was not paid heed to. Mittal said the matter had been reported to senior leaders and the organisation.
