The police said a tip-off was received that the accused persons would visit their house to collect money so that they could leave Delhi. On Sunday a trap was laid at the spot and both the accused were nabbed. They confessed to the murder of Mujahid.

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that on Saturday they all were together and when they wanted money from Mujahid to buy alcohol he refused. An altercation then took place and both the accused persons bludgeoned the victim with a heavy stone killing him. Furthermore, blood stained clothes that the accused were wearing and a bloodstained heavy stone used in the crime were recovered at the instance of the accused persons,” said Sagar.
