Enough balance in your mobile phone is not the only thing that you may require to make a call. Carry a ladder along!

That is what Union Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal experienced in Rajasthan going by a video shared by news agency ANI, which is making rounds on the social media.

Meghwal, who was on a visit to his constituency in Bikaner’s Dholiya village on Sunday (4 May), wanted to talk to some officials with regard to staff shortage at a hospital. After repeated failure to connect to the officers concerned, villagers suggested he would require climbing a tree to get a signal.

The 62-year-old minister then asked for a ladder, which was rested against a tree. The minister then climbed the ladder and is seen talking to somebody over the phone.

The video posted by a news agency was widely shared on Twitter, attracted varied reactions from the users. Most of the users took a dig at the government.

The minister must have solved the staff shortage at the local hospital, but what about the mobile connectivity? Did Meghwal take note and raise the issue with the authorities concerned?
