Ministry of Power, Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla will be visiting the prestigious 1500 MW Nathpa Jakhari Hydro Power Station of Satluj Jal Vidhyut Nigam Limited on 19 October.
An official spokesperson said on Thursday that Bhalla will hold inspection of the equipment of the hydro power station. He will also dedicate the newly constructed 310 KV Solar power plant constructed in the Surge Shaft region by SJVNL, at the cost of Rs two crore to the public.
Besides, he will also lay the foundation stone of the proposed Rs 6 crore, first ever highest capacity, One MW Solar Project in the Badhal area in Shimla district.
Spokesperson further said that to boost the morale of the officials and the employees of SJVNL, he will also participate in the Dusherra celebrations to be held at Jakhri.
On Saturday, Bhalla will also visit the 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station and also inspect the under constriction Luhuri Hydro Power Project, he added. SJVNL Chairman and Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma along with the Board of Directors will also be present, he informed.
