In a bid to ensure a safe and secure festive season for citizens, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police (Law and Order Zone- II) Madhup Kumar Tewari, and Joint CP New Delhi Range, Deepak Purohit, on Monday visited the Sarojini Nagar Market to review and inspect the security preparedness in the south-west district.
Delhi Police have stepped up the vigil amid the festive season, and senior officers are present on ground, overseeing the deployment of staff, foot patrolling, and anti-sabotage measures, to ensure the festivities go on in a smooth manner for the people.
The focus of the police force remains on maintaining high visibility, public confidence, and robust policing at all major markets, malls, religious places, and crowded areas, with an aim to prevent any untoward incident from happening.
The South-West District police has strengthened checking, patrolling, picket deployment, and surveillance at all sensitive locations, adopting measures to ensure smooth festive celebrations.
The police have urged citizens to stay alert and report any suspicious person, object, or activity, at 112, or contact the nearest police station.
An extensive city-wide night patrolling operation was also held earlier by Delhi Police to bolster security, deter criminal activity and to instil a sense of confidence among citizens for enhance public safety.
