Revealing this, a spokesperson of the Himachal Pradesh Election Department here on Tuesday, said: “Besides, these 3278 weapons have been impounded or cancelled.”
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (PwD) is implementing three scholarship schemes for students with disabilities.
A spokesperson of Higher Education told on Thursday that the scholarship schemes include Pre-Matric Scholarships for Class IX and X, Post-Matric scholarships for Class XI to Post-graduation, Scholarship for Top Class Education for Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or Diploma for students with disabilities in 241 notified institutions on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Umbrella Scheme “Scholarship for Students with Disabilities”.
He said, “The registration of students on the National Scholarship Portal has already been started from 15 July and that the last date for registration and submission of Pre-Matric Scholarship application by the student is 15 October. Last date for registration of Post-Matric and Top Class Scholarship application by the student is 31 October.”

He further said that the last date for first-level verification for Pre-Matric by school/Institute/ College is 31, whereas the last date for first-level verification for Post-Matric and Top class scholarship by college/institutes is 15 November.
He said that last date for second-level verification for Pre-Matric by State Nodal Officer is 15 November and for Post-Matric and Top class scholarship it is 30 November.
He said that the applicants can submit their application on-line and the school/institute/college will verify the applications online.
The Payment of the scholarship amount is made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to beneficiary’s bank account, he said, adding that applicants can download the information and details of the scheme from department website www.disabilityaffairs.gov.in
