The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Tuesday said with the emergence of a ‘Third Front’ ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha polls, people have an alternative to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

Addressing the massive gathering of the INLD and the Bahujan Samaj Party, leader of the Opposition in Haryana Assembly and INLD leader, Abhay Singh Chautala said the voters of this country had given overwhelming mandate to the BJP because of absence of an alternative in 2014 general elections.

“But now that the Third Front was emerging, the people have a credible alternative to keep Congress and BJP away from power,” he said.

Chautala said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had betrayed the massive mandate that the country had given him and the BJP in 2014. He said in order to win over the youth, Modi had assured the youth of creating two Crore employment opportunities every year.

He said Modi had assured citizens that not only the black money lying in the foreign banks would be brought back to the country but Rs 15 lakh from that money deposited in the bank accounts of all citizens as their share.

The INLD leader said each one of these promises have been betrayed and the youth left particularly frustrated since now he is being told to sell ‘pakoras’ for earning some money.

Chautala said to woo these classes Modi had solemnly promised to implement the ‘one rank one pay’ demand of the soldiers and also to implement Swaminathan Commission Report and had particularly mentioned of giving them 50 percent profit to the farmers over and above their cost of production while fixing MSP. None of these promises have been fulfilled, he added.

BSP’s state president Prakash Bharati accused the Modi Government of promoting the interests of the big time industrialists at the cost of farmers, labourers and the downtrodden.
