TDP MP creates ruckus at airport, damages property

JC Diwakar Reddy

In yet another incident of abuse of power, a TDP parliamentarian from Anantapur, JC Diwakar Reddy created a ruckus at the Visakhapatnam airport and damaged property after being denied a boarding pass on Thursday.

Diwakar reached Vishakapatnam airport late to catch an Indigo flight to Hyderabad and the Boarding Pass counter was closed.

Diwakar insisted on getting the boarding pass since he is an MP and after the staff refused him, he destroyed the Boarding Pass printing machine and created ruckus.

The staff members have complained to the authorities about the issue.

This is not the first time that Diwakar is in news for the wrong reasons. In the past, the Anantapur MP behaved in an objectionable manner at Gannavaram Airport as well and had created a fracas in October 2016 at Vijayawada Airport.

In a similar incident, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad had on 23 March assaulted an Air India staffer following which Air India and four other airlines had banned him from flying.
