STF nabs most wanted gangster Sampat Nehra from Hyderabad

The Special Task Force (STF) of the Haryana Police has arrested one of the most wanted gangster, Sampat Nehra, from Hyderabad late on Wednesday.
With more than two dozen criminal cases pending against him in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Chandigarh, Nehra belongs to Lawrence Bishnoi gang and also carried cash reward of Rs one lakh by Haryana Police and Rs50,000 each by Rajasthan and Punjab police.

Addressing a Press conference today, superintendent of police STF, Ashwin said Nehra, 28, a native of Kishangarh, Chandigarh was nabbed him from Venkataraman Colony, Miyapur, Police Station, Sahibrabad, Hyderabad.

The Director General of Police, BS Sandhu has congratulated the STF team for their significant achievement to nab a most wanted criminal.

Ashwin said that the gangster, a permanent resident of village Kalauri in district Churu, Rajasthan wanted for several heinous crime including 12 of murder, 6 of attempt to murder, two of prominent extortion, five of dacoity and robbery.

He was actively involved in contract killing. Nehra is a sharp shooter of Lawrence Bishnoi gang who had been active in students’ politics. Lawrence Bishnoi gang was a most dreaded gang which is also active is social media like Facebook and Whatsapp. Gangster Nehra will be brought from Hyderabad on the ‘rahdari’ remand.

The crime record of Nehra and his gang include the attempt to murder of a former legislator’s brother, demand ransom of Rs Three Crore from Ashwani Kumar who has many medical stores in Chandigarh, firing at police team to free his associate Deepak from police custody and killed a person in Punjab after looting his Endeavour car at gun point in Kurukshetra area. He alongwith his gang member had killed Anand, a resident of Karaur.

The gangster along with his colleagues had killed Ajay, a resident of Jaitapur in Sadulpur court in Rajgarh, Rajasthan, demanded ransom of Rs Two Crore.
