The spirit of youth, resilience, and transformation came alive at Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, as students presented a powerful cultural event during the school’s annual day and prize-giving ceremony held at The Rajni Kumar Hall of Friendship and Peace on Monday.

The highlight of the event was a captivating ballet titled “The Times They Are A-Changing”, inspired by Bob Dylan’s iconic song. Through a blend of music, movement, and visuals, the performance poignantly reflected the concerns of today’s youth and their determination to adapt to the challenges of a rapidly changing world.

Welcoming the gathering, Dr A. Sankara Reddy, Padma Shri, Chairman of the Managing Board, greeted the guests and commended the students for their enthusiasm and creative expression.

The Annual Report was presented by Dr Jyoti Bose, Director, Springdales Schools, and Mrs Priti Mehra, Officiating Principal, alongside the school prefects, highlighting the institution’s achievements in academics, sports, and social outreach.

The event was graced by Dr Meenakshi Gopinath, Padma Shri, Founder and Director of WISCOMP, Former Principal of Lady Shri Ram College, and Member of the Managing Board, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering after presenting awards to meritorious students for excellence in academic and co-curricular pursuits, Gopinath urged the young achievers to “stand up for what is right”. She emphasised that true leadership lies in compassion, inclusivity, and the courage to embrace change.

Sharing her guiding principles, “to give voice to the voiceless” and “to speak the language of love and inclusion”, she encouraged students to dream, imagine, and “dare to sing their own song while uplifting others”.

The School Choir added a touch of musical brilliance to the evening with soulful renditions of “Charishnu” and “Chaap Tilak”, celebrating the universality of music and its power to unite.

The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Bose, marking the end of an evening filled with inspiration, artistic expression, and celebration of youthful idealism.
