The Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vijender Gupta, on Sunday called on the Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, at his official residence and apprised him of various transformative initiatives underway at the Vidhan Sabha aimed at modernisation.

Elaborating on the Assembly’s transition to a fully digital legislature under the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) framework, he said that the move is aimed at creating a paperless environment designed to enhance legislative transparency, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate real-time communication among the legislators.

During the interaction, Gupta also shared several new initiatives undertaken to enhance the functioning of the Assembly and presented a special booklet titled “100 Days of the 8th Delhi Legislative Assembly – Marching Ahead with Legacy and Development” to the Vice President.

Gupta also highlighted the commissioning of a green energy initiative at the Vidhan Sabha, a 500 kW Solar Power Project, which is expected to power the entire assembly premises in the near future.
