Delhi’s Education Minister, Ashish Sood, on Saturday urged the students of Vivekanand School not to fear artificial intelligence but rather embrace it with responsibility.
“Use it wisely and prepare yourselves for the future challenges,” he stated after inaugurating a ‘Future Lab’ at the school located in Anand Vihar area in the national capital.
Speaking at the event, the minister said the lab will serve as a launchpad to nurture imagination, innovation, and curiosity. “Our aim is to shape creators of technology, not just consumers,” Sood added.
The minister also drew inspiration from Vikenanda’s philosophies to invoke the spirit of Curiosity, Courage, and Strength among future generations. He quoted the social reformer and told the students never to suppress the questions that arise within and to face challenges head-on.
He stressed the importance of a strong body and a resilient mind, calling them foundational forces for building a great nation.
Sood further added that much like Swami Vivekananda presented the soul of India to the world in 1893 in Chicago, the country’s youth must carry forward that spirit through self-confidence, hard work, and integrity.
Concluding the programme, he described students as the architects of India’s future and added, “When India completes 100 years of independence in 2047, it is today’s students who will lead the nation. Education is the launchpad that will enable this flight,” Sood added.
