Three school boys from Jatheri village in Sonepat have allegedly gone missing, the police said today.

The three–two of whom study in Class 8 and one in Class 6–had left for school from their homes yesterday, said Inspector Rishikant, SHO of Rai Police Station in Sonepat.

However, later the bag of one boy was found in school while bags of the other two were found on the rooftop of their respective houses, said authorities of the Government High School.

The SHO said the children aged between 12 to 15 years had missed several classes in January-February too, Rishikant said.

A case of abduction has been registered, he said.

“Police teams have been dispatched to Haridwar and other areas to trace them,” he said, adding further investigations were underway.
