The JIS Education Expo 2025 – Siliguri Edition concluded on a high note at Dinabandhu Mancha on Wednesday, bringing together students, parents, and educators from across North Bengal for a day of academic inspiration and career guidance.
Organised by the JIS Group Educational Initiatives, the event witnessed participation from schools across Siliguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Raiganj and surrounding areas. The Expo featured interactive stalls by JIS institutions offering insights into diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes.
Popular actor Abir Chatterjee, the chief guest, felicitated outstanding students, teachers, and parents. Sharing insights from his own journey, Chatterjee urged students to pursue their passion with sincerity and skill. “Whatever you choose to do, do it with full responsibility—no one else will carry your burden. What you love, do it with dedication and develop your skill gradually,” he said, drawing from his personal experience in building a successful acting career.
A key highlight of the Expo was the felicitation of Class 10 and 12 toppers from Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Siliguri, and Jalpaiguri—a celebration of academic excellence and encouragement for future achievers.
“The JIS Education Expo is not just a platform for showcasing institutions—it’s about empowering students to make informed choices,” said Bidyut Majumder, deputy director (business development), JIS Group.
Sardar Taranjit Singh, managing director, JIS Group, added, “Our aim is to make quality education accessible and aspirational. The warmth and enthusiasm we received in Siliguri has been truly encouraging.”
On the side-lines, Majumder announced that the CEE AMPAI-2025-WB entrance exam will be held on July 27 across 13 centres including Siliguri. “This is an inclusive gateway to B.Tech and B.Pharm courses,” said Sardar Sohan Singh, Secretary, CEE AMPAI.
The event marked another milestone in JIS Group’s mission of academic outreach and empowerment.
