Five-time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in a row and former health minister, Rajeev Bindal is tipped to be the Speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. Bindal represents Nahan in Sirmaur district.

Sources said the name of Bindal, who has a RSS background, was earlier doing the rounds as a minister but for the last minute changes owing to BJP politics.

Bindal, who represented Solan thrice and Nahan twice, have never lost an election. He was a good performer as a health minister in previous BJP regime from 2007-2012.
