Punjab & Sind Bank celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW)
A special programme organized at the corporate office of the bank was inaugurated by P Daniel, secretary, Central Vigilance Commission.
The police has been maintaining a tight vigil across all banks and ATMs to ensure that no untoward incident happens.
Delhi Police has made adequate security arrangements outside
banks and ATMs in order to tackle long queues as people rush to exchange their
old currency notes with new ones and withdraw cash.
“As many as 3,400 personnel of paramilitary and Delhi
Police, along with 200 quick reaction teams, have been deployed at ATMs and
banks across the national capital for maintaining security at banks in view of
the rush of people,” said a senior police officer.
Security has been beefed up in banks in view of the rush of
people. The district police has been maintaining a tight vigil across all banks
and ATMs to ensure that no untoward incident happens.

However, many people were in for a disappointment today as
many of the automated teller machines (ATMs) weren’t operating since they
hadn’t been stocked with cash.
