Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva called it regrettable that former Chief Ministers Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi are trying to create unnecessary tension in the city by commenting on sensitive issues like email threats to schools, allegedly trying to politicize the same.

Sachdeva stated that threats to any school should not be taken lightly. While everyone is concerned about it, one should remember that similar incidents have occurred in the past and investigations revealed that a large number of threatening emails sent to schools were, in fact, sent by a school student — which was a shocking revelation.

Whenever such threats occur, the Delhi Police act with alertness and sensitivity, and work to identify people behind such things.

Nowadays, he said incidents of threats to schools, hospitals, courts, religious places, and airlines are being reported worldwide and majority of these turn out to be hoaxes, yet security agencies treat all of them with all seriousness.

He said email threats, whether to schools or airlines, are of serious concern. But across the world, political parties refrain from politicizing such matters and extend support to security agencies. But in contrast, there are leaders like Kejriwal who indulge in irresponsible comments even on such sensitive issues.
