In a bid to integrate human values, ethical wisdom, and spiritual insight into modern education alongside science and technology, a national conference of educators on the theme “New Education for Global Unity and Trust” was organized at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, here today.
The event was hosted by the Education Wing of the Brahma Kumaris organization and was attended by around 500 academicians, policy makers, health experts, and spiritual leaders from Delhi NCR and across India.
Addressing the two-session conference, Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, praised the work of the Brahma Kumaris, calling it “the world’s largest organization symbolizing women empowerment.”
“The spiritual education imparted here creates noble values.” He also visited the Rajyoga Thought Laboratory exhibition and described it as “extraordinary,” he said.
“Creation begins with thoughts, and the human world is shaped by values. Inner empowerment must precede the use of external resources. Through spiritual wisdom and simple Rajyoga meditation, we can bring positive, successful, and fulfilling change in life and prevent the overexploitation of nature,” said motivational speaker BK Shivani.
She emphasized that only with determination, self-confidence, and value-based education can India once again become a world leader and establish peace, unity, and brotherhood on earth.
Prof. T. G. Sitaram, Chairman of AICTE, expressed concern over rising depression among students, noting that “every third student today suffers from depression.” He stated that technical knowledge alone is insufficient and must be balanced with inner strength and spiritual education. He appreciated the Brahma Kumaris’ initiatives such as the ‘Swayam’ portal, Rajyoga Labs, and other empowerment programs.
Education Wing Chairman BK Mruthyunjaya underlined the need to integrate spirituality in education, stating: “The task of giving new education, new values, and new creation is God’s work, carried out through His human medium Prajapita Brahma. This alone will make India a true world leader.”
