A team from the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Delhi unit’s minority wing recently visited Punjab to support people affected by floods by distributing relief materials.

The team was led by NCP (SP) Delhi state minority wing president Amandeep Sawhney, who reached out to people in several villages across the Doaba and Majha regions. The team provided medical kits, dry groceries, sanitary pads, mosquito nets, and other essentials.

Sawhney alleged that the floods were not merely a natural disaster, claiming other factors also contributed to the crisis. He said Punjab is facing one of its worst floods, which have claimed several lives and affected more than three lakh people.

He added that people from different walks of life are coming forward to support the people of Punjab, who are known for their selflessness and spirit of helping others in need.

Meanwhile, NCP (SP) national spokesperson Anish Gawande said the party remains committed to stepping up and supporting Indians in times of crisis—from Maharashtra to Punjab.

“When there is a natural disaster, we must all come together to ensure that we put our country first,” he added.
