Man kills wife, her brother after a fight in East Delhi
As the police team reached the spot, it soon got to know that a double-murder had been committed.
Savitri, eyewitness in the murder of her son, passed away during treatment of the bullet injuries which she had sustained on Sunday when shot by assailants at Hasanpur Rajapur village of Saroorpur area.
Savitri was an eyewitness of the murder of her son and was to appear in the court for testimony but she was shot dead. However, shortly after her death Savitri’s elder son Mithan appeared in the court and recorded his statement on Wednesday.
SP city Maan Singh Chauhan told that the police had provided tight security to Mithan to reach the court and give his statement. Besides mother Savitri, Mithan was another eyewitness in the murder of his brother Chetan in July last year.

The assailants attacked Mithan, his brother Ravi and mother Savitri in the jungle of village Hasanpur Rajapur on Sunday evening in order to prevent them from recording their statement as eyewitnesses in the court.
In the attack Savitri was severely injured while Mithan and Ravi saved themselves by hiding inside a sugarcane field. Savitri was admitted to a private hospital where she passed away on Wednesday.
In this case of attack 14 persons were named of whom three have been arrested , said Rajesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police (Rural), adding that now after the death of Savitri the case of attempt to murder will be converted into murder. Police is conducting raids to nab rest of the 11 accused named in the FIR.
