Barely two days after the shocking sexual abuse of a minor girl, another 14-year-old was gang-raped by three youths including a minor boy on Saturday. The Tirtol police have detained all the three accused.
The victim studying in Bisanpur High School was returning from a tutorial class when the three youths waylaid her and forcibly took her to a bush. They gagged and gang-raped her. The three fled the place after committing the crime.
The victim returned home and narrated her plight.

Her father lodged a police complaint last night following which the police swung into action. The three accused persons have been identified as Rasmiranjan Das, 20, Chandrmani Das and a 15-year-old minor boy.
Sub-Divisional police officer, Tirtol, Siba Charan Mallick said all three have been detained and will be sent for medical examination. The condition of the victim is serious and she has been admitted to the district headquarter hospital.
The spurt in rape cases has shocked people in Jagatsinghpur. It may be recalled that a minor five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by two minor boys aged 13 and 11 on Wednesday.
