The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been awarded the first prize for its Outstanding Contribution to Urban Civic Services and Public Welfare at the Delhi Government Achievements & Schemes Expo 2026, held here at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan.
The Expo featured 71 stalls representing various government departments, public sector enterprises, and other organisations.
Among all the participating exhibitors, the MCD secured the first prize for its outstanding efforts in delivering citizen-centric civic services, public welfare initiatives, and innovative urban governance.
The civic body showcased its citizen-centric initiatives and public service innovations through its dedicated stall.
The stall received an overwhelming response from students, citizens, and representatives of various institutions, who visited to learn about the MCD’s flagship initiatives and public welfare programmes.
The MCD stall featured the participation of several key departments, including the Property Tax Department, Department of Environment Management Services (DEMS), Veterinary Services Department, and Public Health Department.
Through interactive displays, working models, informative panels, and awareness material, these departments showcased their ongoing projects, digital initiatives, and citizen-oriented services.
The MCD thanked the organisers for the honour and reaffirmed its commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services.
