Former chief minister and AAP leader Atishi on Friday claimed that the residents of Delhi are increasingly disillusioned with the present government and are now regretting bringing the BJP to power.

Atishi, who led multiple road shows for AAP candidates for ‘s MCD byelections, told voters that these elections have become a moment for course correction, claiming that people are determined to return to Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance.

She said back in 2022, when AAP leader Durgesh Pathak contested the election from Rajinder Nagar, she personally walked through the lanes of Naraina. Now, it has become hard for her to believe that these are the same lanes and the same roads where parks were filled with garbage, roads used to remain broken, but now the entire scene has changed. “This is the contribution of the AAP and the soldiers of Kejriwal,” she said.

Atishi told the people that if they vote the AAP in the bypolls, the party’s soldiers will serve day in and day out and take the development of the area forward.

She said that the public was angry with BJP now. “The whole of Delhi is regretting trusting the BJP. People in Delhi wish they had not elected BJP to power.”

Meanwhile, during a road show in Shalimar Bagh, the former Delhi assembly LoP alleged, “The people of Shalimar Bagh are troubled by CM Rekha Gupta. They had voted for her and her party with great hope. They are now saying after coming to power she did nothing for them,” she added.
