2 nabbed for extortion, promise for govt job
Two individuals were arrested on charges of extortion for promising jobs in the state food and supplies department.
Suspecting his 13-year-old daughter having an affair with a boy, a man allegedly killed her in North East’s Karawal Nagar area. Sudesh Kumar, the accused father was arrested and has confessed his crime, police said.
According to police, the victim went missing on Wednesday and her father lodged a complaint of kidnapping at Karawal Nagar police station.
Police said that the minor, a student of class seven, was reported to have gone to buy momos when she went missing.

On Friday her relatives went to Tronica City in Uttar Pradesh, near Delhi border, in search of her. They found the girl’s body lying a little distance away from the main road near Mandola. They informed police about the discovery.
The body was sent for a post-mortem to Ghaziabad mortuary. Meanwhile, an investigation was taken up and CCTV footage of the area examined.
It was seen that the dead girl was riding on a motorcycle with a man. The motorcycle appeared similar to that of her father. Consequently, he was interrogated and confessed his crime, police said.
Police said the accused informed that his daughter had great friendship with a boy. He had warned his daughter against her relationship several times in the past but finally lost his cool and killed her.
