On the auspicious occasion of Lord Hanuman Janmotsav, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday offered prayers at the famous 108-ft Shri Sankat Mochan Dham temple in central Delhi’s Karol Bagh area, wishing for the well-being, peace, and prosperity of the national capital’s residents.
Taking part in the rituals, the chief minister, along with the devotees, recited Hanuman Chalisa with deep reverence and participated in the religious ceremony held in the temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Rekha Gupta stated that Lord Hanuman’s life stands out as a powerful symbol of service, dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of Lord Ram. “His ideals continue to inspire us to serve society and the nation selflessly,” she said, adding that such sacred occasions help foster positive energy, unity, and spiritual awareness in the society while bringing people together.
She said Lord Hanuman’s unwavering devotion, selfless service, and unparalleled valor are the highest ideals for a life based on Sanatan values.
The CM urged citizens of Delhi to promote harmony, cooperation and a spirit of service in their daily lives, and contribute towards well being of the society.
Devotees in large numbers, along with temple trust members and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion. While interacting with them, Gupta reiterated that the Delhi government remains committed to preserving the city’s cultural and spiritual heritage, adding that such events and gatherings play an important role in strengthening social cohesion and positivity.
