The entry of a leopard created panic in the campus of Vir Chander Singh Garhwali Government Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, popularly known as government medical college, in Srinagar (Garhwal) on Sunday. The feline injured three persons to create fear in the area. Police and forest departments rushed to the site but till late evening they had failed to tranquilize or cage the jungle cat.

The leopard remained inside the campus whole day creating high drama. Medical college’s clerk Yudhveer Singh saw the leopard walking on the lobby. Surprised by the presences of the guest from the wild, the clerk faced a near death experience when the leopard charged and injured him.

Yudhveer anyhow managed to run and hide inside a room. Later he was rushed to the base hospital in Srinagar.
