Hota demanded RoR for 1048 landless people in Bhuban, 664 for people in Dhenkanal Municipality. He had given the list of the landless people to Collector.

However, talk failed with Collector who patiently heard their demands. Till 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the landless people stay put in front of the district collectorate here.

Later senior police officers persuaded the agitators in presence of Hota and administration will respond their demands soon as per guidelines.

The police officers told they are assigned by district administration to discussed with them.

Thereafter Police helped the agitators to reach at their homes at late night. Hota told media persons that they postponed their strike till further notice as the administration has sought time to consider their demand.

If the administration fails to respond within a responable timeframe we will sit on dharna and paralyse the collectorate, he said.
