Bharat Skill Exchange, a platform aimed at bridging the skill gap in India through trust and transparency, held a launch event in the national capital on Tuesday. The platform connects high-potential learners, verified training institutions, and impactful sponsors in a transparent ecosystem.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary, who attended the event, said he “commends” the effort.

“There is an innate hunger and ambition in our skilled people. There is also a growing understanding that skills are not qualifications and mere qualifications are not going to give you the job or that opportunity,” Chaudhary said.

Dr Kiran Bedi (IPS-Retd) and one of the founders and promoters of the platform, said there is a problem of skills, and “Let’s be the solution to the problem”.

“Contributions are held securely in escrow, training progress is tracked in real time, and funds are released only upon verified milestones,” Dr Bedi said.

“Strengths of Bharat Scale Exchange are 100% trust, 100% transparency, and 100% technology. There is no corruption, no diversion, no clipping, nothing. It is very credible,” she stressed.

“The startup is recognised by the DPIIT, the Government of India’s Startup Initiative,” she further informed.

Mentioning about PM Narendra Modi, she said, “As our Prime Minister says, ‘become a job giver’. So, we are creating job givers.”

Real-time traceable impact will also be done, she said, adding, “It will be known, in real time, what you studied. Did you complete attendance? Did you fail? That training institution will tell us the impact.”

Bharat Skill Exchange offers four courses for now: Advanced AI & Web Integration: Build Smart Applications; Advanced VLSI Chip Design Program (AVCDP); Graphic design and Motion graphics.

Other founders – Raman Pandey (Founder – Curei); Sunny Nandwani (Founder – Acuver Consulting); Suresh Vyas (Managing Partner – Kreston SNR Advisors LLP); and Raju Vyas (Founding Partner, SNR & Company) – were present on the occasion.
