Former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy said on Friday that chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s silence on the murder of youth congress leader Suhaib generates fear.
The chief minister, who is responding even on a film song, keeping silent on the murder of a youth is a matter which generates fear and surprise, Chandy said Speaking to media persons here, Oommen Chandy said the youth congress leader Shuhaib was hacked to death in a Taliban-style attack.
“There were 37 hack injuries on Shuhaib’s body. The conspiracy angle behind the murder should be probed,” Chandy said

He alleged the government provided opportunities for the accused to escape.
“The police are trying to nab the culprits listed by CPI-M. We will mobilise people of the state to protest against this,” Chandy said Thirty-year-old youth Congress leader , Shoaib was hacked to death at Edayannur near Mattanur in Kannur district on Monday night allegedly by CPI-M workers.
