Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday accused former Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of merely playing word games and shedding crocodile tears before auto-rickshaw drivers and daily-wage earners.

Sachdeva alleged that despite remaining in power for 10 years, Kejriwal did nothing to improve the lives of auto-rickshaw drivers or daily-wage earners.

The Delhi BJP chief said the Rekha Gupta government is committed to not only improving the living standards of auto-rickshaw drivers and daily-wage workers in the national capital but also making their working conditions better.

According to Sachdeva, the BJP-led government in Delhi is now formulating plans not only to better the living standards of auto drivers but also to fulfil all election promises made to every section of society.

He said that the government will ensure better housing, education, and healthcare facilities for the weaker sections of society in the next one year, adding that the government is focused on completing the welfare and development projects in a time-bound manner.

Earlier in the day, AAP leader Kejriwal shared on X that he had met auto rickshaw drivers at the party office.

He expressed that his connection with auto-rickshaw drivers is very old and emotional.
