Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday slammed the Delhi Government for the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital, after a broad daylight murder of a priest in south Delhi’s Kalkaji.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal called out the BJP’s “four-engine governments” of plunging the Capital into fear and lawlessness within just six to seven months, saying Delhiites are now being forced to live under the shadow of terror.

Sharing a video of the alleged murder on X, Kejriwal questioned the safety of Delhi residents under the BJP government. ‘The BJP’s four-engine governments have reduced Delhi to such a state that such heinous crimes are now happening even inside temples. Is anyone safe in Delhi anymore?’ he wrote.

Delhi State Convenor Saurabh Bharadwaj and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Delhi Assembly Atishi Marlena also came down heavily on the BJP, highlighting how criminals now roam fearlessly without any fear of the police.

Bharadwaj criticised the Delhi Police over the killing of a temple sevadar following an argument about offering prasad without a cover. ‘The situation in Delhi is going from bad to worse. The police are only busy with political assignments, harassing innocent citizens, while thieves, goons, and gangsters have no fear of them,’ he wrote on X.
