Wanted Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Javed Mattoo arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell
Mattoo, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore district had a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head.
A Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) terrorist involved in a shoot-out with the Army in Shopian district surfaced on Friday in the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Hospital in Srinagar with a bullet injury.
The active terrorist identified as Asif Ashraf Malik was on Thursday night admitted in the hospital with a bullet injury that he received in a shootout with an Army patrol at Ahgam in Shopian district, a police officer said.
Malik was active in the outlawed HM outfit since 19 October, 2017. He is reported to have been injured when the Army retaliated to three terrorists opening fire at them while travelling in a Swift car.

The car in which the terrorists were fleeing at the time of the shootout had veered off the road and hit a tree. Security forces had launched a search operation in the area, but the terrorists managed to escape and Malik travelled a distance of more than 50 kilometres to reach the SKIMS Hospital for treatment.
The police is investigating the matter. In another incident, armed terrorists barged into the house of a special police officer (SPO) Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh and shot him dead and critically wounded his wife, Farida, in the Katsoo village in Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
Meanwhile, unidentified miscreants burnt about half a dozen seasonal huts of the Army along the Mughal Road in the Kashmir Valley on Friday, police said.
Fire tenders were immediately rushed to douse the flames. A case has been registered and investigations started, police said.
These seasonal huts are occupied by Rashtriya Rifles personnel annually from April to November to secure the Mughal Road that connects the Valley with the Jammu region.
It remains closed during the winter due to heavy snow. This road is used as an alternative to Srinagar-Jammu highway during the summers.
