Haryana Police has arrested three persons in connection with cow smuggling including a most wanted of Rajasthan from district Rewari.

The most wanted identified as Suba alias Sabudin, a native of village Palla in Mewat who is kingpin of cow smuggling gang. Delhi Police has also announced a reward of Rs50,000 on his arrest.

While stating on Tuesday, a spokesman of police department said that all three accused Suba alias Sabudin, Shokeen alias Kala and Umar were arrested following an armed encounter in the area of Sodawas-Padmada in Rewari.

Two police personnel including an assistant sub inspector Ranbir and head constable Ravidutt also received bullet injuries.

He said that police had received information that cow smugglers in a Tata 407 canter carrying cows were heading towards Rewari via Karauli mor from Bhiwani side. Based on the information, police blocked the road near Dahina.

The cow smugglers went towards Kanina from kaccha path after firing several rounds on police. They again opened fire at police team after breaking barricades near village Majri, leading bullet injuries to two police personnel.

Showing exemplary courage, police team, had nabbed all the three accused along with Tata 407 vehicle near village Sodawas-Padmada, the spokesman
said.

During interrogation, it was revealed that driver of the vehicle, Subba alias Sabudin is kingpin of cow smuggling gang and most want of Rajasthan. A reward of Rs 50,000 was announced by the Delhi police.
