H’yana depts to have nodal persons for recruitments

Haryana Staff Selection Commission

After the Opposition leaders accusing Manohar Lal Khattar-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana of failing to provide the promised jobs to youths in three years, the state government has come out with directions to all its departments for appointment of nodal persons to co-ordinate with Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) on all matters relevant to recruitment.

In order to improve the efficiency in recruitment, the state government has directed all the departments to appoint a senior officer, above the rank of Joint Director, as nodal person to co-ordinate with the HSSC on all matters relevant to recruitment through the Commission like requisitions, court cases, recommendations, clarifications and grievances.

As per the order issued by the Chief Secretary office, all the government departments, boards, corporations, autonomous units and authorities have been directed to intimate the name, rank and contact number of such nodal officer, directly to HSSC by 20 January.

Recently, senior Congress leader and the All India Congress Committee (AICC) media Incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala alleged that despite the BJP had come to the power on the slogan of jobs to youths, Khattar government provided 7,886 government jobs in three years but removed nearly 20,000 employees between this period.
