‘3rd term chances for BJP getting bleaker’
Trinamul Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday that the BJP’s chances of returning to power are becoming bleak while predicting a rich harvest for her party in Bengal.
Congress in Himachal has decided to speed up the ‘Hisab de sansad, Jawab de sansad’ campaign of the party in an attempt to corner Bharatiya Janata Party.
Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said on Saturday, “After the completion of the first leg of campaign in Kuthlher in Una and Pragpur in Kangra district, the party has decided to launch the second phase of the campaign on 8 April in Panchrukhi of Jaisinghpur block in Kangra, where the party will launch an attack against the BJP.” The campaign will be launched under the leadership of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
“There has been no progress in the country in the last four years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi government at the Centre,” he said.

During the campaign the party will slam the Modi government and seek for the developmental works done by his government and Member of Parliament Shanta Kumar from Kangra constituency in the last four years during this campaign, he said.
The Modi government and the four BJP MPs in Himachal are accountable to the people as they have been elected the party in the majority during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he said.
Questioning the promises made by the Modi government to the public of HP four years ago, ahead of the last Lok Sabha elections in 2014, Sukhu said that the BJP has failed miserably to live up to the expectations of the people of the state.
The four MPs have to give details of the developmental works undertaken by them and the funds given for the projects in their respective constituencies, he demanded.
