Himachal Pradesh has become the first state in the country to make all-state gazette notifications online.

Informing about this, a government official said the printed gazettes from the year 1953 to 2007 have been digitalised and indexed by HP Secretariat library to put them online in the public domain.

The gazettes have been printed by the Printing and Stationary Department and the gazettes from the year 2007 onwards are already being published online by the department.

“Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur recently launched the digitalised Gazettes of the state which are available online at Himachal State Rajpatra Portal (eGazette) http://rajpatrahimachal. nic.in from 1953 till date and are available to the all stakeholders and general public online at their convenience,” he said.

He said the state gazettes are being published both in Hindi and English languages and can be searched on date range, gazette No, department name, subject, keywords, etc.

In addition to this, free text search on any gazette content and combination of contents within the gazette in both languages, Hindi and English is also available to all stakeholders and general public through the Rajpatra Portal.

The software system has been developed by NIC Himachal Pradesh and complete digitalisation work has been accomplished by the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat library, which will benefit and facilitate the work of the government and general public, he added.
