Haryana to seek financial assistance from Centre for houses under PMAY

Haryana government has decided to seek financial assistance from Centre for construction of 1,33,761 houses in six towns in the state under Pradhan Mantri AwasYojana (PMAY).

The decision was taken in a State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee meeting of PMAY chaired by Chief Secretary DS Dhesi.

As per the official information, the Haryana government would send an action plan to the Centre for getting financial assistance to construct these houses. The meeting also approved a proposal to send the projects of first and second phase concerning giving financial assistance for construction of houses for 70,671 families in 55 towns to the Centre.

It was also decided to provide one more opportunity to those 81,000 applicants who had applied under PMAY but their applications have errors or their documents were incomplete,  an official spokesperson said.
