Haryana government has decided to observe India’s Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary and Pledge Taking ceremony or “Run for Unity” on 31 October as the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
While giving this information, an official spokesperson said on Saturday that a “Run for Unity” might also be organised at the state or district headquarters involving people from all sections of the society so that a message of national unity could permeate to every part of the nation and the society.
A march past would be organised in the evening by the state police and other agencies to boost sentiments of national unity, integrity and security, he added.
